Girls Golf Headed to Regionals

This week the Coppell Cowgirls played in the 6-6A District championship at Bear Creek. Playing in high winds and wet conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday, they endured to finish in second-place , seven strokes behind Flower Mound HS. On day two the Cowgirls shot the best round of the two days with a 311.
With this win the Cowgirls qualify for the Region 1 Championship on April 17 and 18 at Tangle Ridge GC in Grand Prairie.
Individually the five members of all district first team consisted of three Cowgirls!

Sophomore Nethra Sheri tied for first, however lost in a three-hole playoff. She shot 76/73 for 149 total.
Sophomore Riya Bapna carded a 78/76 for two-day total of 154
Sophomore Alicia Bellendir also made the first team with 78/77 for 155 total

Outstanding job, now on to the Regionals where the top three teams qualify for the State Tournament in Early May in Georgetown. CFND!
