The Coppell Softball team won their first district game Monday night 9-7 over Plano HS. Offensively the Cowgirls were led by Mallory Moore's 4 hits, Courtney Hargrove's 2 hits and 2 runs batted in, and Madison Scott's 2 hit, 2 runs scored performance. Kayla Shannon started and gave the Cowgirls 4 and 2/3 of strong starting pitching, then Kaelyn Smith came in relief and pitched a dominant 2 and 1/3 innings of relief- giving up 0 runs and only 2 hits.
