An early lead helped Coppell defeat Plano East 4-1 on Friday. Coppell pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. TJ Pompey had a day at the plate going 2-4 with a triple and an RBI. Tanner Sever and Carter Fields both had crucial RBI's to help Coppell secure the victory.

Andrew Nester led things off on the mound for Coppell Cowboys Varsity. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Will Boylan came in out of the pen to close the door on Plano East.
