The JV boys went on to finish with 13 athletes in the top 14 places.

“The meet was a great success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of all that volunteered their time,” said Coach Wren. “The coaching staff and team are very thankful for everyone’s help.” The Coppell Fire Department and the Dallas Police Department were in attendance. The booster club and team also appreciate the CHS trainers and student trainers, photographer Adrian Holguin, as well as the parent volunteers that gave their time helping out at the Coppell Invitational. Next up are the McNeil Invitational and the Flower Mound Invitational, both are scheduled for Saturday, September 25. The top runners from both the girls’ and boys’ teams will travel to Round Rock to compete against some of the best talent in the state on the 5K course that is the site for the UIL State cross country championships. The JV team will compete at Shadow Ridge Middle School in Flower Mound.
