We took a handful of athletes to the Ray Braswell Invitational on Thursday. This is the same course the kids ran at the Marcus Invitational 2 weeks ago. Almost every runner improved their time from their previous time on the same course. Out of the 28 kids that competed, 16 of them ran their personal best times.

Colten Karstendiek led the way for Coppell in the Varsity Boys division with a 68th place finish and a 17:44. That time is over 40 seconds faster than his previous best on this course. Baron Schott and Jake Terry also both ran well. The boys as a team finished 9th out of 25 teams.

Sehbin Lee and Prajakta Mandal were the top two runners in the JV Girls division. They ran 24:14 and 24:48 respectively, good for 64th and 80th place.

The JV Boys finished 10th out of 31 teams. There were 409 runners in this race. Top performers from this group were Austin Shelby (18:39 - 24th), Vihaan Chodisetti (19:18 - 49th), Mahim Sharma (20:08 - 93rd), Brayden Westfall (20:16 - 107th), and Shourya Bingi (20:21 - 110th). Thirteen of these young men ran their best time of the year.
