Coppell Volleyball suffered its first District 7-6A loss of the season Tuesday night, falling 3-2 to unbeaten Plano Senior at CHS Arena.

The Cowgirls pushed Plano through five sets before coming up short, moving to 13-7 overall and 2-1 in district play.

Brooke Felix led Coppell with 20 kills and 16 digs. Before the match, Felix was recognized for reaching 1,000 career kills.

Finley Penniman added 17 kills and eight blocks, while Zoey Ponsen finished with 52 assists and 12 digs. Addi Howard recorded eight aces.

Coppell’s JV team earned a 2-1 win, responding to a 25-16 opening-set loss with 25-19 and 25-15 victories.

The 9A team fell 2-1, 21-25, 25-21, 23-25, while 9B lost 2-0, 23-25, 7-25.
