The game started strong for the Cowgirls, they were able to have the lead at the beginning of of the first quarter. But the Longhorns clapped back and gained the lead by the end of the first. By the beginning of the second, the fans helped encourage the Cowgirls to get a few steals and stops in order to make the game closer. The first half ended 28-21, Cedar Hill. The Cowgirls still trailed by the end of the third quarter, 40-30. With a charge taken by Kennedy Paul in the fourth quarter, the Cowgirls were able to get the ball back with three minutes left in the game. Coppell calls a timeout. The score is 45-38, Cedar Hill. Some key performances included Kennedy Paul with a block in the second quarter that helped the Cowgirls gain a bit of momentum and make the game closer. Paul also picked up lots of rebounds and a charge in a tight fourth quarter to help the Cowgirls get the ball back. Ella Spiller played great overall plus hit the tying shot and free-throw for the win!
