Expecting a hard matchup the cowboys faced off against the leading team in district, the Hebron Hawks. There was some rain expected all night which was going to make the game more interesting to see how the players handled the weather. Starting the game off the ball was traveling back and forth across the field as both teams were looking to create as many opportunities as possible, with 15 minutes remaining in the first half, the game was stopped for a weather delay. After a long hour and a half the game resumed to finish out the final 15 minutes of the first half. The hawks would end up scoring twice right before the half ended because of some miscommunication from the cowboys, making the score 2-0 going into halftime. Starting up the second half the cowboys would get a cross into the box which would get forced out but land at junior midfielder Sam Stone's feet letting him get a volley off from the top of the 18 yard box scoring the cowboys first goal of the night. At the 25 minute mark the hawks were awarded a penalty which was eventually scored making the Hawk's lead 3-1. With 15 minutes left in the game Senior midfielder Ryder Brock gave junior forward Gareth Meza a through ball into the box leading him to tuck it away in the bottom corner of the goal bringing the score to 3-2. In the final 6 minutes of the game a shot from junior forward Luca Grasoli bounced off the keepers hands causing a rebound which was recovered and shot and scored by senior forward Alfred Fairchild bringing the score to 3-3. The game would end in a draw finishing hebrons winning streak, a hard working night for the cowboys.
