The Coppell Cowgirls continued their start of the season with their second scrimmage on the year. They took on a Prosper Rock Hill team that was coming off a 21-1-2 season last year. Coppell continued its great defensive play from Friday and shut down the Rock Hill attack. Rock Hill was kept to only one shot on the night. Offensively the Cowgirls created lots of chances in the attack and had lots of great opportunities to put some points on the board. The Cowgirls got on the board halfway through the first half after some great build up play and a pass by Freshman Neerali Kapadia to Sophomore Summer Chen. Summer sent a great cross in that Junior Sadie Ozymy attacked. Before Ozymy could get to the ball, the ball deflected off a Rock Hill defender and into the goal for a Summer Chen goal and Neerali Kapadia assist. Cowgirls win 1-0. The back line was anchored by great play from all the defenders but especially from Seniors Kayleigh St. Peter, Miranda Hickey, Tatum Escobar, and Amanda Pisciotta.
