Coppell stole the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Boyd on Friday. The game was tied at two with the Cowboys batting in the top of the eighth when Tanner Sever doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring the go-ahead run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Coppell Cowboys Varsity pitchers struck out 14, while Boyd pitchers sat down 11.
In the first inning, Boyd got their offense started. Boyd scored two runs when Ethan Westloski homered. In the top of the sixth inning, Coppell tied things up at two when Landry Fee doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Andrew Nester got the start for Coppell. He lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out six and walking one.

The Cowboys totaled eight hits. Walker Polk and Landry Fee both had two hits on the night to lead Coppell to Victory.
