It came down to the wire on Friday, with Coppell taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Flower Mound. The game was tied at two with Coppell batting in the bottom of the seventh when Andrew Nester singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Coppell Cowboys Varsity pitchers struck out eight, while Flower Mound pitchers sat down four.
Flower Mound got things moving in the second inning, when Evan Rolison hit a solo homer. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Cowboys tied things up at two with Will Boylan's RBI.

Nester led things off on the mound for Coppell. The fireballer lasted three innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out two and walking one. Boylan came in out of the pen going 4 innings allowing only 2 hits and striking out 6.

Bradley Castillo, Nester, Carter Fields, and Landry Fee each collected a hit for Coppell.
