Cowgirls Defeat Plano East on Senior Night

ElleBelle Zimmerman was an RBI machine on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Coppell Cowgirls Varsity past Plano East 11-1 on Tuesday. Zimmerman drove in runs on a single in the third, a double in the fourth, and a double in the fifth. Coppell Cowgirls Varsity secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Coppell Cowgirls Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Zimmerman, Dafne Mercado, Michaella Baker, Reagan Stange, and Katherine Miller, who all drove in runs. Coppell Cowgirls Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Zimmerman singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run and Stange doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs. Coppell Cowgirls Varsity tallied six runs in the fourth inning. Zimmerman, Mercado, Baker, Stange, and Miller powered the big inning with RBIs. Miller toed the rubber for Coppell Cowgirls Varsity. Miller went five innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out three. #4 started the game for Plano East. The pitcher allowed nine hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. #12 threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen. Coppell Cowgirls Varsity launched one home run on the day. Adelyn Wilson went yard in the fifth inning. Coppell Cowgirls Varsity racked up 16 hits.
