The Coppell Cowgirls competed in the Region 1 6A Championship on April 14/15 at Tangle Ridge GC in Grand Prairie. After shooting a 301-team total on day one, they led by a mere one stroke over Prosper HS heading into day two. However, on day two, the girls came out ready to play and won going away by 15 strokes over Prosper and Flower Mound, who edged SLC on the last hole.

Alicia Bellendir finished tied for first, shooting a 73/71 total of 144. However, she lost a playoff that took four holes!
Riya Bapna carded a 74/72 for a 146 and third place, which placed these two on the All-Region first team!
Nethra Sheri finished at 155 ( 77/78)
Isabella Nguyen finished with a 157 (79/78)
Elizabeth Bellendir shot a 77/84 (161)

Our team placed 1st with 600 overall strokes.

We now await the State Championship on April 28/29 at White Wing GC in Georgetown.
