Coppell Volleyball fell to JJ Pearce in three closely contested sets Friday night at CHS Arena, losing 25-23, 25-23, 26-24 in District 7-6A play.

The Cowgirls were within two points in every set but could not break through, moving to 14-9 overall and 3-3 in district.

Finley Penniman led Coppell with 15 kills and four blocks. Brooke Felix added 13 kills and 10 digs, while Hailey Chew finished with a team-high 17 digs.

Zoey Ponsen directed the offense with 43 assists.

Coppell’s JV team lost 25-8, 25-12. The 9A team fell 25-17, 25-16, while 9B rallied after dropping the opening set 25-11 to win the next two, 25-20 and 25-16.
