Coppell closed the regular season with a heart-pounding finish Monday night, earning a 50–48 victory over Guyer in the final home game of the year. What looked destined for overtime remained a cliffhanger until the final seconds, as neither team gave an inch down the stretch.

The game unfolded as a defensive battle from the opening tip, with scoring hard to come by and every possession carrying weight. The lead changed hands multiple times, and the crowd stayed on edge as the margin remained razor-thin throughout all four quarters.

Senior guard Isaiah Fleming paced the Cowboys with a game-high 16 points, connecting on three three-pointers and converting 5-of-8 free throws. His scoring proved vital in keeping Coppell steady during long scoreless stretches.

Coppell found additional offensive support from Robert Watson and Jacob Anene, who each finished with 10 points. Watson provided timely baskets and strong defensive pressure, while Anene consistently attacked the rim and capitalized at the free-throw line, going 6-for-8.

Sibu Socks chipped in 7 points and played an important role defensively, helping Coppell generate key stops as Guyer pushed late to force overtime.

In the closing moments, Coppell’s composure on defense proved decisive. The Cowboys forced tough shots, limited second-chance opportunities, and ran valuable time off the clock to preserve the two-point advantage as the buzzer sounded.

The win served as a fitting conclusion to the regular season and a meaningful send-off for Coppell’s seniors in their final game on their home floor. With league play complete, the Cowboys now turn their attention to the postseason.
