This past weekend, the Cowboys Varsity Track and Field team Participated in the Jesuit Sheaner Relays in Dallas, Tx. In this meet, the Cowboys faced pretty much every team in their District and their Area. As well as some of the top teams in the State of Texas. Headed into the final event of the evening, the 4x400m Relay, the Cowboys were in 3rd place by less than 5 points. Due to an injury, the Cowboys could not participate in the 4x400m Relay. This unfortunate turn of events caused the Cowboys to slip to 4th place overall in the meet. Not lost on this, were the incredible performances turned in by the Cowboys. Aidan McFarlane was crowned the Jesuit Sheaner Relays 110m Hurdle Champion with a time of 14.01. Matthew Maldima was crowned the Jesuit Sheaner Relays 100m Champion with a time of 10.49. The 4x100M Relay which consisted of Ayrion Sneed, Harry Hassman, Rodney Ates and Matthew Maldima placed second with a time of 41.55.
