The Cowgirls secure the win against Plano Highschool with a 6-0 win. It was the Cowgirl’s last district game, and they knew they had to end up with a win. In the beginning of the game, it was kind of back and forth but right when the girls started shooting they were locked in. First goal of the game was by center back, Monica Morales who scored a free kick placing it right over the keeper’s hands. Monica also had many defensive plays that kept the Cowgirl’s momentum going. As the game carried on, you had Ella Spiller in the middle breaking some ankles while also making so many chances on goal which she ended up scoring one. Also, it was great to see the defense getting in with the attack like Emma Fanous making speedy runs down the sideline working to win the ball or to cross the ball. Throughout the season the girls have built up their level of play and they will be going to the playoffs for next game.
