Boys Soccer moves to 4-0 in scrimmages with a win against Denton Guyer. Leading the way, Srikar Mulukutla: 1 goal, Sam Stone: 1 goal, 1 assist. Coming back from the break, Cowboys soccer was looking for their fourth and final scrimmage against the Denton Guyer Wildcats. The wild cats are ranked second in our region and this was going to be a true test for the cowboys. Starting the game off the cowboys looked to maintain possession of the ball and break down Denton Guyer's play style. Halfway through the first half, the cowboys gained possession on a counterattack and Junior midfielder Sam Stone sent a cross into the box where junior midfielder Srikar Mulukutla was able to receive the ball on a diving header at the edge of the six yard box and put it past the keeper opening up the scoreboard for the cowboys 1-0. Going into the second half, the cowboys kept up the momentum and after just a few minutes junior midfielder Sam Stone chipped the ball 35 yards away from the goal placing it in the top left-hand corner catching the keeper off his line and extending the cowboys lead 2-0. After a few close calls defensively, the Cowboys ended the game strong winning their final scrimmage 2-0.
