The Cowgirls faced off against the Lady Jags a little later than expected Thursday evening thanks to a weather delay. That wouldnt be the last time that weather would effect the match, but when the Cowgirls took the field they controlled possession and created quality chances to score. Cowgirls struck first off a goal from Renata Vargas. Flower Mound proved to be a tenacious opponent and leveled things up just before halftime. About 15 minutes into the second half the game was delayed again due to weather. The teams even came back on with the intent to resume before the weather warning came again effectively ending the game and giving both teams a point for their efforts.
