Coppell Cowgirls Fall Short to Hebron Hawks

In their first game of district play, the Cowgirls fell short to the Hebron Hawks, with the Hawks winning 3-2 in a close game.

Scarlett Stephens battled in the circle by pitching all game and only allowing two runs. Claire Keith, Courtney Hargrove, Lilija Bowen, Madison Scott, and Emma Praytor each contributed one hit for the Cowgirls. Madison Scott and Lilija Bowen scored one run each in the top of the seventh to make it a one-run game. Unfortunately, that was not enough for the Cowgirls as Hebron had previously scored three runs. Caroline Campbell (left field) and Madison Scott (third base) both made amazing catches for the Cowgirl defense.

The Cowgirls kept their energy up the whole game, cheering loudly for their teammates.
