The Varsity Cowgirls worked out their in-game kinks during the 3-day tourney.

We saw some very strong defense during our games, notably Claire Keith, who caught 5 out of 5 pop-ups at 2nd base, and Courtney Hargrove, who dominated center field. Throughout all 6 games, our pitchers: Lilija Bowen, Scarlett Stephens, Lena Gay, and Laycee Olds all came out and played their hardest. Behind the plate, we had Emma Praytor, Nicole Jimenez, and Mia Monteleone, who worked to help our pitchers and build them up when times got tough. Offensively, we saw some spectacular hits. Abbie Pison was by far the MVP of the batting box, hitting 3 out of the park home runs. We had many singles and walks otherwise, but a couple of other notable hits include: Courtney Hargrove’s out-of-the-park home run, and Addy Turner, Claire Keith, Mia Monteleone, and Audrey Pham with strong doubles.

This Tourney marked last year's starting varsity pitcher Lilija Bowen’s return to the mound after months of recovering from a back injury and she came out with 5 strikeouts during her playing time.
