The Coppell Cowboys boys basketball team earned a convincing 65–47 road win over Marcus on January 16, using efficiency on offense and disciplined defense to pull away as the game progressed.
From the opening tip, Coppell dictated the pace and controlled the game offensively. The Cowboys created efficient scoring opportunities and went 12-of-17 at the line to steadily build separation.
Balanced scoring defined the night for Coppell. Sibu Socks led all scorers with 21 points, while Robert Watson added 9 points and provided a steady presence on both ends of the floor. Colin Griffith chipped in 11 points, and Sebastian Peña contributed 10, as multiple Cowboys stepped up to sustain offensive pressure.
Defensively, Coppell limited Marcus to 47 points, forcing tough shots and protecting the paint throughout the game. The Cowboys recorded 15 deflections and six steals, disrupting rhythm and turning defense into transition opportunities.
