GEORGETOWN, TX — The Coppell Cowboys continued their strong play at the 46th Annual Jack Frost Basketball Tournament, finishing 3–0 in Pool A and earning a spot in the Gold Bracket semifinals.
Coppell opened pool play with a dominant 89–57 win over El Paso Hanks, followed by a commanding 96–32 victory over Waco Midway. The Cowboys completed the sweep Friday with a 59–32 win against host Georgetown, showcasing lockdown defense and balanced scoring throughout the three-game stretch.
With the unbeaten pool finish, Coppell secured the top seed from Pool A and will face Lake Highlands in the Gold Bracket semifinal on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (Gym A). A win would send the Cowboys to the Gold Championship game later that evening with a tournament title on the line.
The Cowboys’ consistent energy on both ends of the floor has fueled their early success, with defensive pressure, unselfish ball movement, and fast-paced execution proving to be the difference in all three victories as they continue their pursuit of tournament gold.
