After qualifying at the North Zone TISCA meet in late November, Divers Emery Darrow and Auttumn Ayakawa traveled with Coach Jon Drori to San Antonio for a statewide diving competition. They represented their city with pride, making finals in both 1m and 3m events, including Darrow's top 8 finish in the 3m event.

3m - Darrow 6th, Ayakawa 10th

Currently, the NFHS and UIL do not recognize 3m diving as an event in competition. However, in the interest of better preparing divers for college and making diving more impactful in the sport of Swimming & Diving, TISCA created this meet as proof of concept to show that there is interest in the event. No other state in the country currently holds high school 3m diving events, but the local federation in every state eagerly anticipate the results of this meet in order to make their own decisions about adding this event. With continued success, we could see 3m become an event after the next UIL alignment.
