Lexie Patton went undefeated throughout the 6 Region 1 Tennis Tournament in Girls Singles and is the Regional Champion. She will compete in the 6A State Tournament next week in San Antonio. In girls doubles, Sarayu Thallapareddy and Sejal Singh placed 4th, falling just short in a highly competitive match against Southlake with a score of 6-2, 4-6, 4-6. In Mixed Doubles, Shay Patel and Palkin Gangwal also placed 4th overall, losing to Southlake 4-6, 5-7.

Our opponents were El Paso Coronado, Plano West, San Angelo Central, Southlake, El Paso Franklin, Midland, and Montwood.

Outcome: Lexie Patton: Girls Singles Regional Champion & State Qualifier, Shay Patel/Palkin Gangwal: Mixed Doubles 4th Place, Sarayu Thallapareddy/Sejal Singh: Girls Doubles 4th Place, Kasi Kavali: Boys Singles Elite 8 Finish.

Lexie is currently 27-1 on the year in girls singles.

Lexie Patton is headed to state for a third year in a row, having dropped only 2 games during the district tournament and 6 games during the entire regional tournament. She is a fierce competitor, and we can't wait to watch her play at the 6A State Tournament next week!
