The 2023 Cowgirl golf team teed it up for the first tournament of the year, this last weekend. The Heart of Texas Championship at Pecan Valley included the top teams from Texas .The tournament first was shortened to 36 holes as Friday the temp was 108’, and after a night of severe storms hit the course everyone was placed on only the River course.
This translated to a record 7 hour round in high humidity.
Very proud of the grit the four girls displayed. Finished in 11th place out of 28. Alicia Bellendir finished 6th overall carding a 143 (-1).
