Warmer weather and the feel of softball at the early March tourney, the tournament began with a great win versus Arlington Martin, 6-2. The game started off slow, but the girls started to read the pitcher and trust their skills. Nevaeh Carter contributed lots of good catches in centerfield. Game two of the tournament also saw excellent play with the girls strong both offensively and defensively leading to a solid 9-2 win over Sherman. Mallory Moore and Nevaeh Carter had 2 good hits to the fence and Medleigh Danchack hit a home run over the centerfield fence. Argle proved a tough game for the cowgirls as they fell short losing 2-9. The cowgirls didn't play to their fullest potential against Richardson falling short 3-1. But after a post-game talk with coaches, they are determined and ready to win their next game against Plano West. Some other notable performances: Kayla Shannon (Pitcher) hit all her spots and had many strikeouts. Also, a nice pop fly caught by Emily Fischetti and tag by Ava Miller.
