GIRLS BASKETBALL HEADED TO STATE WITH REGIONAL WIN 51-47 OVER LITTLE ELM

The Cowgirls were off to a hot start thanks to Julianna Lamendola scoring 6 points in the first two minutes. But the Lobos were able to make a comeback. The score at the end of the first quarter was 9-8, with Little Elm in the lead. At the end of the first half the Cowgirls were able to make a comeback and now the score is 23-17, Cowgirls. The Cowgirls played very good defense on the third quarter especially and was able to increase the lead to 37-26. Jules Lamendola played very well and led the way scoring. At the end of the fourth quarter a timeout is called with 1:07 left, and the Cowgirls are only up by three. It’s 48-45. With six seconds left the Cowgirls are only up 49-47 and the Lobos have the ball. Little Elm throws it down the court and goes out of bounds and Jules gets fouled. She makes both freethrows and Coppell win 51-47!!! Congratulations to the staff, the seniors, and all the incredible Coppell staff and fans that came out to support. We will see you all at STATE!!!!
