Two top ten state level teams battle for first place in district 6-6A. A rescheduled game due to weather. Coppell girls basketball played at Hebron on Saturday February 4th at 1:00 pm. Solid defense and scoring at all positions on the court showed why both teams have remained in the top ten all season. Each and every transition mattered. Momentum was on our side in the last couple minutes of the game. However, a couple quick change of possessions propelled Hebron into a tie game leading to a last second made 3-pointer to give Hebron the win. Waverly Hassman was able to score in the paint throughout the whole game a crash towards the basket to get offensive rebounds for her team. She also made two clutch free-throws at the end of the 4th quarter. Landry Sherrer played very well in the second quarter. She drove to the paint on many occasions and played hard on defense. Ella Spiller played hard on defense and was able to get offensive rebounds to give her teammates more opportunities to score.
