After a long week of cancelled school, the cowboys were excited to come back to play their third game of district against the Plano East panthers. As the ref blew the whistle to start the game the cowboys came out with intensity trying to move on from the loss against Lewisville. After 20 minutes senior forward, Alfred Fairchild received a ball at the top of the 18-yard box and placed over the goalkeepers head and into the side netting on the right hand side of the goal, opening the scoreboard 1-0 in favor of the cowboys. As a few minutes went by in minute 10 the panthers got a counterattack and after a difficult recovery by the cowboys’ defense they were able to score making the game 1-1 right before half. For the rest of the game the cowboys were looking to take advantage of every little mistake the panthers made, but it just was not enough, leading to the cowboys first draw in district 1-1.
