The night started off strong with the cowboys beginning the game with momentum and fast paced play. Beginning the game with control of the field the cowboys had Lewisville on their heels for almost the entire first half. Coming into minute 28 the cowboys were gifted a free kick 10-15 yards outside the box, and with a cross into the box junior forward Gareth Meza was able to head the ball redirecting it to the left side of the goal where the keeper could not reach, and with that gaining his second goal of district. Foul after foul the cowboys were still fighting through the game with the referee being very nonchalant about what was happening and losing control of the game. To end the first half the farmers scored off a corner equalizing the score 1-1. At around the minute 20 in the second half the farmers preceded to score a second goal making the score 2-1 now in favor of them. After a hard fought game by the cowboys, the night ended in the cowboys’ first district loss.
