Busy start to December with the Cowgirl Classic at home on 12/2 and the biggest girl’s tournament in the state, Texas Women's Classic on 12/9-12/10 in Lewisville, led to some hard-earned wins and double the improvements. Cowgirl wrestling took a 1st place team score at Cowgirl Classic out of 10 teams earning 226 points (more than double of last year) and 5th place team score at Texas Women's Classic out of 42 teams. Varsity wins at the Cowgirl Classic included Annie Reeder 1st, Piper Carrell 1st, Ava Payne 2nd, Araceli Reynoso 2nd, Scout Carrell 1st, Jessica Mendez-Gil 1st, Cassie Bonacci 2nd, Julie Rodriguez 2nd, Tucker Sparks 2nd, and Annie Lopez 3rd. At Texas Women’s Classic, places included Piper Carrell 2nd and Scout Carrell 3rd. All varsity girls won matches, contending against state qualifiers and placers.
