The Cowboys started the game off slow in the first half, giving up easy points on multiple turnovers which led to an eight-point lead for the Farmers going into half. The Cowboys forced themselves back into the game with 3 strong takes to the basket by James Faison to cut the Farmer lead down to 3 with less than a minute left in the game. A clutch stop on defense put the Cowboys into position to force overtime, but after a missed field goal on their last possession, the Cowboys would fall short 53 - 56.
