In a great team performance, the Cowgirls had a place winner in all 8 weight classes entered at the Chicken Wing Invitational at Houston Westside this past Saturday. The girls finished 2nd overall in the 18 team meet. The team was lead by championships by Maria Husain and Scout Carrell. Both wrestlers defeated state ranked opponents in the tournament. Freshman Annie Lopez was 2nd. Tucker Sparks was 3rd. Karissa Godhia was 4th. Piper Carrell and Ava Payne were 5th. Cassie Bonacci was 6th.
The team next wrestles at the Coyote Invite at Frisco Heritage on Saturday.
