Coppell Track & Field teams qualified 18 athletes for the UIL Region 1 6A Track meet held at UTA’s Maverick stadium this past weekend. After dealing with weather delays on Friday the teams were finally able to complete the meet on Saturday. The top 2 finishers in each event advanced to the State Track meet. The boys team finished in 10th place overall and girls team finished as Co-Champions in a tie for 1st place. The girls 4x400 relay (Emma Sherrer, Olivia Marez, Morgan Colon, Waverly Hassman) set a new school record with a time of 3:48.69.

Reese Pokluda – 1st Place Pole Vault, Ryan Sewell – 1st Place Pole Vault, Michael Nance – 6th Place Pole Vault, 4x200 Relay – 8th Place (Muhammad Seif, Braden Axe, Gabe Sosa, Geoffrey Williams), 4x400 Relay- 7th Place (Rith Bhattacharyya, Akil Daresalamwala, Gabe Sosa, Geoffrey Williams).
