Coppell Cowboys Varsity Defeats Marcus, 5-2

Marcus opened up scoring in the first inning. Jordan singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, the Cowboys tied things up at one when David Jeon drove in one with a double. After Marcus scored one run in the top of the sixth, the Cowboys answered with one of their own. The Cowboys Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Walker Polk singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run and Bradley Castillo singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Chayton Krauss led the Cowboys to victory on the hill. Krauss allowed eight hits and two runs over six innings, striking out six. Tony Vernars threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Evans took the loss for Marcus. The pitcher went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out seven and walking one. Jeon went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Cowboys in hits.
