The CHS tennis team started their 2020 playoff run with a victory late Monday night. After delaying the scheduled 3pm start due to weather, the teams moved to indoor courts at the T bar M Racquet Club.

Coppell jumped out to a quick start with a 5-2 lead after doubles. The Cowboys swept boys doubles and mixed. The #2 girls combination of Rishita Uppuluri & Riya Reddy pulled out a 7-6(3), 6-0 victory to give the team a lopsided lead. After doubles, the top 5 boys singles players (Matthew Abbey, Kunal Seetha, Vinay Patel, Arjun Arunachalam, and Atharva Nijasure) all won in straight sets to secure a 10-2 team victory.

Next up the Cowboys will face the winner of Lake Highlands & Arlington Bowie match in the Area round.
