This Saturday, Varsity Cowgirls competed at the annual OSU Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, OK. Unfortunately, JV girls were not able to run this week at the Jesuit Invitational due to inclement weather on Saturday. At the Stillwater meet, runners were faced with a hilly course and tough competition. Despite the circumstances, the Cowgirls gave an excellent performance. Junior Maya Easterwood placed 1st overall in the Large School Girls’ 5k, coming in with a time of 17:56. Freshmen Finleigh Sanders-Burk and Anuskha Patki placed in the top 100 runners, completing the 5k with times of 21.14.0 and 21.14.5, respectively. The Cowgirls’ season is almost coming to a close, with only 1 week left before district, and they are showing constant improvement throughout the season.

The boys' team finished in 9th place out of 44 teams at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They competed against teams from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas. Top individual finishers were Diego Morales (42nd - 16:50), Sidharth Kerthipati (66th - 17:10), Tanish Neelapu (79th - 17:20), and Rohit Kalpathy (81st - 17:21). There was a total of 467 runners in the competition. This was their last meet before the District 5-6A Meet on Friday, October 10.
