On Friday, August 15th, the Coppell cross country team opened their season at the Hebron Friday Night Hawk Invitational at McInnish Park in Carrollton. Running under the lights on a flat and fast course, the Cowboys faced tough district and regional competition, including Hebron and McKinney Boyd. Coppell showed strong depth across all divisions, with the JV boys finishing 2nd, the varsity boys placing 4th, and the varsity elite boys taking 2nd. Juniors Diego Morales and Tanish Neelapu led the elite squad with impressive performances, setting a strong tone for the season ahead.
