Lexie Patton went undefeated, only dropping two games throughout the entire tournament, and earned the title of District Champion in Girls Singles. Freshman Kasi Kavali also went undefeated and is the Boys Singles District Champion. In Mixed Doubles, senior Shay Patel and freshman Palkin Gangwal won every match and are the District Champions. In Girls Doubles, senior Sarayu Thallapareddy and junior Sejal Singh fell short in the finals against Flower Mound but still qualified for Regionals as the District Runner Up. In Boys Doubles, junior Tushar Pathuri and sophomore Eshaan Reddy won third place and are an alternate for the Regional Tournament.
On the first day of the district tournament, there was bad weather off and on, which caused many delays. The team met at 6:15 AM to head to the tournament and did not get back to the CHS Tennis Center until 11 PM. The second day of the tournament resumed first thing the next morning. Our players showed true grit and determination throughout the entire tournament.
