The Coppell Cowgirls were the first to get on the board in the first when Kimber Kerrigan homered to center field, scoring three runs. Coppell Cowgirls added to their early lead at the bottom of the second inning when Nevaeh Carter singled, scoring one run. A Lady Raider induced Natalie Howell to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored. Madi Scott doubled, scoring two runs. The Cowgirls accumulated 14 hits in the game. Scott and Carter each collected three hits for the Cowgirls. Hargrove and Warren also collected multiple hits for the Cowgirls.
