Eighteen athletes travelled to Austin for the 6A Swimming & Diving State Championship - 13 competitors and 5 volunteers. The team broke two school records and appeared in multiple finals over the course of the meet.

Boys 200 Individual Medley - Gabe Campos finished 6th and broke his own record, which he set at Regional finals two weeks earlier. It was previously one of our longest-standing records, held by Hayden Henry since 2012, who went on to swim for UT at the same pool that Gabe set this record at.

Boys 50 Freestyle - Abhinav Agnihotri made his first ever state appearance as a sophomore in an event that is typically dominated by seniors - in fact, all of the top 10 swimmers at this year's boys 50 freestyle were seniors. He finished 19th overall, only one sophomore finished ahead him.

Girls 200 Freestyle Relay - Annie Chang, Emma Wei, Brynlee McCormick, and Alice Lu swam at prelims to finish 19th, just barely missing out on a finals spot by less than 0.5 seconds.

Boys 200 Freestyle Relay - Abhinav Agnihotri, Saurab Anjanappa, Aleksandar Mikic, and Gabe Campos made finals in their relay, with Gabe coming out of the relay in the finals to focus on his individual 100 breaststroke. Dylan Moreno filled in the spot, swimming a career-best time and helping the team to an overall 15th place finish

Girls 1m 11-Dive - Emery Darrow became the Coppell girls' high-point winner with her performance in the diving event. She was originally seeded 21st going into prelims and jumped up 6 places to be seeded 15th going into finals. She ultimately finished 15th in the finals as well and completed her historic state run as the first Coppell girl ever to compete at 6A State

Boys 100 Breaststroke - Gabe Campos broke the school record in the 100 breaststroke in his prelims swim, but narrowly missed out on the championship final by less than 0.5 seconds. He swam at the consolation final, matching his time and ultimately finishing 10th
