Dwight Green
Coach Dwight Green enters his 2nd year at Coppell. He currently serves East Middle School as Assistant Coach Football, Assistant Coach 7th grade Basketball, Assistant Coach Track and Field. Coach Green brings 2 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Lake Holcombe, WI Head Boys Basketball Middle School Coach and Head Track and Field Middle School Coach. posts Nothing of note right now.
As an athlete, Coach Green played Football (WR), Basketball (PG), Track and Field (Hurdles/Sprints) at Freedom High School with tremendous accolades including All-conference in Basketball and Track and Field; and Track and Field State champs 2015 and 2016. He went on to St. Norbert College University earning a History Education degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Green enjoys Reading and fun fact, he was part of the world's largest snowball fight when he was a kid. His favorite quote, “Never forget, you do not shine under the bright lights; the bright lights only reveal your work in the dark.”
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Green responded “I coach to grow athletes as young men. If they see that their work in dark brings out the success in the bright lights, I have taught them the great life lessons of hard work and determination.”
