Keiston Alexander



Coach Keiston Alexander enters his 1st year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Assistant Football and Assistant Boys Track & Field Coach. Coach Alexander brings 19 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Denton High School- Defensive Coordinator, Irving High School- Defensive Coordinator, Denton High School- Head Boys Track & Field and Assistant Football, North Crowley High School- Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator/Head Boys Track & Field, Denton Ryan High School- Assistant Football and Assistant Boys Track & Field, Crownover Middle School- Boys Coordinator. An impressive track of success, Coach Alexander posts several deep playoffs runs and state championship appearance in 2010 with Denton Ryan with countless athletes moving on to the next level.


As an athlete, Coach Alexander played Football Quarterback; Basketball  Guard; Baseball Shortstop and Center Field at Sulphur Springs High School with tremendous accolades including Academic All-State for Football; Academic All-District multiple years for Football, Basketball, and Baseball; All-District Baseball selection for 3 years; All-District Football selection for 3 years; All-District Basketball selection for 2 years; and Team Captain for Football senior season. He went on to play quarterback at Austin College in Sherman, TX earning a Business Administration with a Minor in Exercise and Sports Science degree followed by Arts in Teaching (Education) Masters degree. 


Away from coaching, Coach Alexander enjoys Playing any sport and spending time with family. and fun fact, he loves music. His favorite quote, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." -Martin Luther King Jr.


CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Alexander responded “I believe that coaching is more than a job, it’s a calling. What we teach student athletes goes far beyond the “field” of competition.  We instill in them a work ethic that helps prepare them for every endeavor in life. As a coach, I believe that our goal is to develop positive professional relationships with each individual that we encounter in order to impact their lives in a dynamic way.”
