Coppell Girls Golf competed against a strong North Texas field Monday, Oct. 19, at the LHS Farmer Pink Out Invitational at Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson. The Cowgirls finished 11th with a team score of 363, led by senior Sabrina Tam's round of 79.

Tam tied for 17th individually at 9-over par, finishing among the top 20 golfers in a field of more than 90 competitors. She was one of just 18 golfers to break 80 on the par-70 course.

Sophomore Adira Navarathinam followed with an 81 (+11), tying for 24th. Together, Tam and Navarathinam gave Coppell two golfers among the top 25 finishers.

Sophomore Kavya Passi contributed a 99, while seniors Mia Rivera and Joanna Ramirez posted rounds of 104 and 108, respectively. Coppell's four counting scores combined for 363.

The tournament featured a competitive field that included Allen, Frisco Reedy, Ursuline Academy, Flower Mound and Northwest Nelson.

While Coppell's top two golfers combined for 160 strokes, its third and fourth counting scores totaled 203. Improvement throughout the lineup will be important as the Cowgirls work to lower their team scores against competitive tournament fields.

Coppell previously opened the season with a second-place finish at the Argyle Invitational, shooting 360. Monday's 363 was just three strokes higher, although the tournaments were played on different courses under different conditions.

The Cowgirls will look to build on the consistency of their top finishers while continuing to develop depth throughout the lineup as the fall season progresses.

Next up, Coppell Girls Golf competes in the Four Ball Tournament on Friday, Oct. 30, at Trails of Frisco Golf Club in Frisco. Play begins at 8 a.m.
