Coppell saw its six-game winning streak snapped Saturday in a 4-1 road loss to Dallas Jesuit in a non-conference tune-up before the final stretch of district play.
Jesuit jumped ahead early with three runs in the first and one more in the second, and the Cowboys were unable to recover after being limited to just three hits. Coppell pushed across its only run in the sixth inning, but the Rangers’ early lead held up the rest of the way.
The loss drops Coppell to 13-6 on the year, but the Cowboys now quickly shift their attention back to district action. Coppell will host Flower Mound on Tuesday in a key 6A Region I District 5 matchup.
