Coppell baseball rolled to a 7-0 district win over Little Elm behind a dominant performance from Zander Montgomery and a big night at the plate from Aaron Malick.
Montgomery was electric on the mound, throwing a complete-game shutout over seven innings. He allowed just one hit, did not give up a run, walked two, and struck out 10 as he kept Little Elm off balance all night.
At the plate, Malick helped power the Cowboys' offense by going 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, and four RBIs. Coppell gave Montgomery more than enough support, building a steady offense in a complete team win and finishing District Game 5 with a statement performance.
The shutout was a decisive district win and another strong showing for a Cowboys team that got exactly what it needed on both the mound and at the plate.
