For the first time, Coppell sent a full JV squad to the biggest girls meet hosted in the state, the Texas Women's Classic. The girls battled their way through three rounds to finish second with multiple Coppell girls earning first place.

There were 40 teams, including Frisco (1st place 265 points), Arlington Lamar (3rd place 199 points), El Paso, Houston, and several schools from our district and region.

Aadya Gullapalli, Purva Soni, and Anika Kupari had debut appearance at first major tournament this week.

The success of the girls middle school program and growth in the junior varsity program has turned Coppell into a dominant presence in the Texas Girls Wrestling world. The JV program alone has more girls than some teams' varsity programs.
