Varsity @ Kemah Boardwalk Invitational - March 22nd & 23rd
The Varsity team traveled down to Houston for the Kemah Boardwalk Invitational. This is one of the most competitive tournaments in the state. All players competed very well. Lexie Patton played incredibly well and placed third overall in the girls singles division. She defeated Sarita Sharpe from Alamo Heights, Italia Valencia from Reagan, Eva Brytik from Houston Memorial, and Lilly Wang from Westwood. Both mixed doubles teams of Shay Patel/Rhea Guru and Juandiego Velazquez/Gabby Rice qualified for the quarterfinals before losing to the number one seed Kat Lowy and Egor Morozov from Memorial and number two seed Elizabeth Shu and Gabe Segubiense from Clements. Isaac Joseph won his first two matches before coming up short in the quarterfinals against Aidan Xu from Seven Lakes. The team made so many fun memories competing in the tournament, having team dinners, and hanging out at the boardwalk.
