The Varsity team defeated Plano with a dominating score of 18 wins to one loss. This win secured the team’s second place finish in District 6-6A. The boys contributed wins in all three boys doubles lines, Riki Koshimizu and Isaac Joseph at line one, Arjun Nijasure and Sayon Nath at line two, and Juandiego Velasquez and Aneesh Thummala at line three. All three of the girls doubles team won. Lexie Patton and Gabby Rice competed at line one, Sarayu Thallapareddy and Sejal Singh at line two, and Sriya Meduri and Allyson Keng at line three. In mixed doubles, Shay Patel and Rhea Guru fought hard and won in three sets against Plano’s top rated boy and girl. Six more wins were contributed from boys singles. Riki Koshimizu played line one, Isaac Joseph at line two, Shay Patel at line three, Arjun Nijasure ate line four, Rami Kamel at line five, and Aneesh Thummala at line six. The girls contributed five additional wins in singles. Lexie Patton competed at line one, Gabby Rice at line two, Rhea Guru at line three, Sarayu Thallapareddy at line four, and Sriya Meduri at line five. The team looks forward to starting playoffs next Tuesday against McKinney Boyd.
